CHANAN HANSPAL - It's Only Just A Garden featuring IMAANI from INCOGNITO
-IT"S ONLY JUST A GARDEN launches with 2 minutes of epic orchestral jazz very reminiscent of a Gil Evans composition and then the soul jazz / acid jazz grooves kick-in showcasing the amazing vocal talents of Imaani from Incognito. Imaani came 2nd in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest infront of a studio 15, 000 strong studio audience as 100 million people watched on tv. Incognito the the original UK soulful jazz funk act who have been going strong since 1981 and have been remixed by the likes of Jazzanova, Masters At Work, David Morales, Roger Sanchez and Yam Who? Imaani joined Incognito follwoing in the footsteps of legendary vocals Jocelyn Brown and Carleen Anderson.
Chanan Hanspal is a seriously talented jazz guitarist who has performed as a session music with the likes of Jamiroquai, Questlove, Adam F, 23 Skidoo, Kylie, Geri Halliwell and Valerie Etienne. And for this project he has essembled some of the UK's finest players to record for him including the brass and string section 4Hero used for their seminal Two Pages album.
