About Me:
STEVE CLARKE TRIO + is a 3 piece Funky-Jazz-Jam Band.
Pat Marafiote -Keys (Larry Coryell, Dave Weckl)
Steve Clarke -Bass (myspace.com/steveclarke)
Chris Stanley -Drums (George Benson, Anthony Jackson)

New CD with Mike Stern,Chris Morrison, Authur Lipner and Johnny Durkins ... out NOW 2009 !!!

We play mostly originals that are a blend of a Funky-Jazz-Jam Band Improvisation.
Da bassist, composer and educator, mixes Funky grooves with Jazz improvisation on his 2009 recording “New Beginings”.
It is his 7th release on Hop-N-Bop Records and is being well received by fans in U.S. and Europe.
The new CD kicks into high gear right from the start with Clarke’s title track from his previous CD “Can You Hear Me Now”, where Mike Stern and his lyrical approach to the guitar take the melody and then solo were sparks start to fly.
Also the new CD takes advantage of the writing skills of keyboardist Pat Marafiote, penning two compositions (“Hypocriscy” & “Baghdad Bob”) and drummer Chris Stanley, provides one, ( “My Passion”) . The Trio also wrote together “Insurgents”, a composition with startling dynamics, moods and swings from pianissimo to fortissimo and back again.
The inter play of this trio is quite noticeable, performing together the last 4 years and doing three European tours as a trio has paid off. The grooves and improvisations throughtout the recording flow naturally and seamlessly into and out of the compositions.

Dear Steve, would you be interested in jamming on this site if it's possible. I'm from the village. See Rockumentally's interview with Jamalladeen Tacuma on myspace and I have some samples on this site. Peace and After. Cleanbootjack

New York is a bit nippy...I was out doing a little jogging (I try to get to a park a couple of times a month for a little workout). Now I'm gonna kick back, relax and watch some DVR'd shows, "Survivor" is up first...*smile*

I love music!

I love to sing also, but you probably wouldn't want to hear me...*lol*
I'm not a musician, but have enjoyed the company of musicians a plenty, especially during a time I did a little dancing and dance instruction.
It's been many rains since I've taken a stage, but I still love to dance around the house occasionally, when nobody's watching...*smile*
